			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I went into Chinatown to check out First Friday for the first time in a few months.  The Hawaii State Art Museum had a great Live from the Lawn program of dances from around the world.  The most photogenic of course was the belly dancers from <a href="http://bellydancersinparadise.com/">Hawaii Belly Dance</a>.</p>
<p>Later I went to a fashion show hosted by the <a href="http://www.hihdhawaii.net/">Hawaii Institute of Hair Design</a>.  </p>

<p>I got turned on to free lensing a month or so ago.  I&#8217;ve been playing with it on and off since then.  My favorite technique is to make tilt-shift photos with just a 50 mm lens sticking halfway out of the camera body.  </p>
